Tuesdays with Dorie: Dressy-ish Chocolate Loafcake

Behold the 'dressy' chocolate loafcake. Or, more accurately, the very nice, slightly overbaked chocolate loafcake filled with Ikea lingonberry jam. There was a glaze in the recipe, but lack of any chocolate in the house meant that I skipped it. I took it in to my bookkeeping job, where everybody happily deluded themselves and thanked me for the 'bread.' It was cute. Cake is always good, even when it's bread.

Ikea lingonberry jam is killer! I can only imagine it on chocolate "bread"-what a great combination.

Very creative with the lingonberry jam! My mother always calls any cake made in a loaf pan 'bread' and eats 2 slices!

How funny "bread" and I think its perfect with coffee and tea. Super easy to put together. I think the batter was amazing. Thank you for baking along this week.
