No pictures of the pickup, because I wasn't there. I wasn't eating at all, actually. Thursday was Yom Kippur, and I was spending CSA pickup time on a rock in the Chesterfield Gorge in Massachusetts.
According to the PHCSA email, we got something like: sweet corn, snap beans, peppers, and eggplants, along with lettuces, 'Vitamin Green', arugula, celeriac, and other vegetables, depending on your site. Most everyone is getting celeriac.
Windflower farm had its first frost, which means the end of all the peppers, corn, eggplant, and (saddest) beans. However, since Windflower is in Saratoga, we will probably be able to get these things for a few more weeks at the New York farmers markets.
So, enjoy the vegetables, Jon. I'm certainly not lacking up here in Northampton, stay tuned for quinces and apples and empanadas.
