I know I've been AWOL, there's been travelling and reconstruction. But I keep on making cake. The star of last week was Rose Levy Beranbaum's Cradle Cake, adapted from a Pillsbury Bake-Off winner--simple pound cake encased in a
pecan walnut dacquoise. This is excellent breakfast cake.
There was something about it that reminded me of supermarket pound cake, in the best way possible.
