This week's TWD was exactly what I like--plain cake, with almonds, simple and buttery. After the heavenly cakes, something that can be mixed in a moment has its appeal. The pictures didn't turn out that well (this is becoming a theme) partly because the cake was too simple to do true justice to, but it was a big hit with the architects at work. One asked for the recipe, but then threw up her hands in horror on seeing the butter ratio. I barely noticed it myself, comparatively, it was minimal.Swedes, come visiting, anytime!
