Heavenly Cake Bakers: Chocolate Bulls-Eye Cakes

Six little sponge cakes all in a row...
Hollowed out, glazed with Kahlua simple syrup AND strawberry-rhubarb glaze, filled with chocolate and drizzled with same. These were intense. Good party treats, but a bit too sweet for my taste. Still, there was sponge cake, so no danger of them going uneaten.

I don't think they would be too sweet for my taste.

Yum, strawberry rhubarb glaze!

They look cute! You know what? I didn't use all of the syrup. Try that next time to cut down on the sweetness. Then again... maybe with the minis, it's a syrup-to-surface ratio issue, and that's why they're too sweet.
